10th Anniversary Celebration

There will be music by New Orleans songwriter/piano player/singer Phil Melancon, appetizers from Café Degas, cake from Laurel Street Bakery, and sparkling refreshments. And there will a vitally important and timely announcement made jointly with public radio station WWNO (89.9 FM) regarding the future of literature in New Orleans!

We opened Octavia Book in September 2000, but we were evacuated for our 5th anniversary month of September 2005, reopening very early in October, making us the first new books book store in the New Orleans area to be back after Hurricane Katrina. So we celebrate October.

We hope we have and will continue to enrich your life and the life of our precious community. Thanks for being part of the story with us.  And, as with many of the books we read, we know the best is yet.
