Saturday pre-Mardi Gras parades come and go, but A WRINKLE IN TIME has been with us for 50 years! So we hope you will join us as we host a 50th anniversary party in honor of Madeleine L'Engle's Newbery Award-winning novel. We're celebrating with fun giveaways, surprises for all ages, readings from the book, and an exclusive simulcast of the special Wrinkle in Time 50th Anniversary event streamed in from Symphony Space in NYC with readings, performances and exciting guests including Newbery Medal winning authors Rebecca Stead, author of When You Reach Me, and Lois Lowry, author of The Giver. Please note: The Krewe of Pontchartrain parade on Saturday afternoon starts at Napoleon and St. Charles.  However, there should be no problem getting to the bookstore by coming from further uptown.  For example, you may take Jefferson Ave. Nashville Ave. or the River Road to Magazine St. and then to Octavia St.  The simulcast from Symphony Space will begin at 3:00 PM and will be 60-90 minutes long.
