"Sean Gautreaux and I have been collaborating since he illustrated my second book, Happy Jazz Fest. We were at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, for the release of that book, when Sean told me his dream of illustrating a children's Mardi Gras book someday. That night, I went home and wrote the poem, which became the basis for this book. Shortly after writing the poem, Sean and I went from book signing to book signing, and at each signing people would ask, 'Do you have plans to do a Mardi Gras book?' This is the fifth book Sean and I have worked on together."
(This book cannot be returned.)
