DOGS AND THE WOMEN WHO LOVE THEM - Kim Dudek

  • Author Event
11/04/2010 6:00 pm

Women and the Women Who Love ThemDOGS AND THE WOMEN WHO LOVE THEM: Extraordinary True Stories of Loyalty, Healing, and Inspiration is a collection of true stories that celebrate the amazing, amusing, life-enhancing bonds between women and their canine companions. Oprah will feature the book in her November issue of O Magazine!

Kim Dudek, one of the story contributors, runs Dag's House - a rescue operation for special needs pups in New Orleans - and has been featured in a special report by Angela Hill on WWL TV (see http://www.wwltv.com/news/Disabled-dogs-get-a-second-chance-at-Dags-House.html).  Following a presentation, Kim will sign copies.  She would love to meet you and invites you to bring along photos and share stories about what dogs have meant in your life.

When the nurturing nature of women meets the loyalty and unguarded affection of dogs, remarkable connections ensue. This book showcases stories about these connections that result in courageous and compassionate acts of love and healing — for the dogs, the women, and all the people whose lives they touch. Readers will laugh, smile, and be moved by shelter dogs, police canine handlers, dogs rescued from hurricanes and dog fighting, returning veterans in need of service dogs, prison inmates who train service dogs, and everyday mutts who transform lives just by providing an exuberant welcome at the end of the day. They'll even meet a dog that dazzled David Letterman on his Late Show. This heartwarming collection of stories is ideal for anyone who loves a dog, or simply loves to be inspired.

Kim DudekKim Dudek is Founder and President of Belladonna Day Spa, Dag's House, and Belladoggie Resort Spa for Dogs. She started Dag's House after her pit bull terrier had spinal surgery. Dag returned home with no muscle mass and unable to walk or control his bodily functions. His spirit was broken and the sparkle had left his eyes. With intense therapy, laced with love, Dag is now happy and healthy.
