“Tiny and gentle, but powerful just the same.”— Kirkus Reviews

Please join us for a special picture book storytime and booksigning with children's book author Marcia Goldman with her Yorkie featuring her new book in the loveable "Lola" series, LOLA AND TATTLETALE ZEKE.

Lola, an adorable Yorkie, introduces little brother Zeke in this gentle story about sibling dynamics and the problem of tattletales. Parents and teachers are all too familiar with the issue of “telling” versus “tattling.” This charming picture book will help guide children through the difference between “good telling” and bad, while keeping them entertained and engaged. Lola loves her little brother Zeke, but Zeke has a big problem: He keeps tattling on her. From messes to mishaps, Lola and Zeke must learn that working together is always more fun than tattling.

Charmingly rendered with real-life photos and sweet, simple narration, Goldman makes the delightful world of Lola and Zeke come alive with scenarios that even young children will be able to relate to and enjoy.

The book features a curriculum guide with insightful questions and focus words, and a fun activities guide. Parents, teachers, and pet-lovers will also have an opportunity to purchase a soft plush Lola, allowing everyone to get a cuddle from the little therapy dog with a big heart.

Marcia Goldman has a master’s degree in special education and has worked for 25 years to provide therapeutic programs for children with autism and their families. She lives in Atherton, CA.

Lola is a Yorkshire Terrier who is proud to be a certified therapy dog. She uses the skills she learned in doggy therapy training at elder centers, preschools, classrooms, and bookstores.
