New Orleans piano entertainer Armand St. Martin will give a special afternoon performance at Octavia Books for New Orleans Independent Bookstore Day. You can browse to great music or sit down and listen with undivided attention to Armand's music and related New Orleans stories. Following his performance, he'll sign CDs.
Armand St. Martin has written and composed, arranged, and recorded 3 CDs titled, Alligator Ball, Sizzlin', and Katrina Anthem on Patty Lee Records, as well as 3-single song Cds titled, Last Time in Texas, Samson of the Sidelines (a parody), and Potholes and Politicians which has over 21,000 hits on Youtube. He has numerous songs on Vimeo and YouTube, and his music is offered on the worldwide web. Armand St. Martin was also a Finalist in the 2014 Short Story Category of the William Faulkner-Wisdom Competition, as part of Pirate's Alley Faulkner Society Words and Music. He performs 200 shows annually in New Orleans since Katrina, his domain name MusiCures goes hand in hand with his over 1,000 pro bono shows since Katrina for adults living with Alzheimer's and for other neurologically-challenged adults. St. Martin and his wife Patty Lee will be producing their 10th Annual Katrina Artistically Revisited special commemorative event on the anniversary eve of Katrina at the Theatres at Canal Place on August 28, a yearly series in which Octavia Books has freequently participated. Armand previously performed at Octavia Books at a cast party for "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me."
